TAF Announces 2018-2019 Board of Directors

BATON ROUGE, LA- Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) announced its 2018-2019 Board of Directors.  Brian Cheramie of Golden Meadow will serve as Chairman of the board.

Prior to being named Chairman-elect for the 2017-2018 term, Cheramie served as TAF’s Treasurer. Cheramie received a B.A. in Economics from Nicholls State University in 1974, where he also competed on the golf team.  Cheramie serves the community in many ways.  He has been involved with the New Orleans PGA Tour and Fore!Kids Foundation for many years and served as the 2000 Chairman of the PGA Compaq Classic of New Orleans.  He currently serves as chairman of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Foundation and has served in leadership positions with Offshore Marine Service Association (OMSA), Argent Bank, and Lafourche Chamber of Commerce.  Cheramie, an avid collector of antique Louisiana duck decoys, authored "Louisiana Lures & Legends.”  It is recognized as the quintessential publication on the history and art of decoys in Louisiana.

Also, TAF announced the election of 13 new members to the Board of Directors.  The new members of the TAF Board of Directors are Kurt Ainsworth (Baton Rouge), Ben Bordelon (Lockport), Pat Cuntz (Baton Rouge), John Andrew Griffin (Jackson, MS), Greg Hamer (Morgan City), Charles Harvey (Baton Rouge), Liz Mangham (Baton Rouge/Lafayette), Roy O. Martin (Alexandria), Charles Moniotte (Baton Rouge), Henson Moore (Baton Rouge), Daniel Palmer (Waco, TX), Tyron Picard (Lafayette), and Valerie Schexnayder (Baton Rouge).
