BATON ROUGE, LA- (October 30, 2017) – Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) announced Bunnie Cannon as Executive Director of Development Support Services and Derek Denton as Executive Director of Development.

An LSU alumnus and native of Baton Rouge, Cannon is a career fundraising professional with over twenty years of experience in principal and major gift fundraising cultivation and stewardship.  She most recently served TAF as the Executive Director of Planned Giving and Stewardship growing the program from the ground up.  Prior to joining TAF, she was the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at the office of the Chancellor/President of LSU for 10 years.

Derek Denton returns to Baton Rouge having previously held the position of Assistant Director of Development for TAF.  He left TAF in 2016 to serve as the Executive Director of the UNCW Student Aid Association, better known as the Seahawk Club. There he managed all Seahawk Club fundraising activities and day-to-day operations as well as directing donor recognition and stewardship programs.

“Bunnie and Derek will provide great support for Ben Ross as he steps into his new role as TAF Vice President of Development.  With over 20 years of service to LSU and TAF, Bunnie brings a wealth of experience in working with the LSU donor base to her new position.  Derek did an outstanding job at TAF before having the opportunity to go to UNCW and further his development career.  We are excited to have him return to TAF,” said Rick Perry, president and CEO of Tiger Athletic Foundation.

These appointments come after TAF named Ben Ross as its Vice President of Development.
