Mike the Tiger: The Roar of LSU brims with fond remembrances of all five of the Mike the Tigers. The book written by David G. Baker and W. Sheldon Bivin with contributions by C. C. Lockwood is a limited edition.
Mike the Tiger: The Roar of LSU includes a complete history of the early years of LSU mascots (1861-1936) as well as history of Mike I (1936-1956), Mike II (1956-1958), Mike III (1958-1976), Mike IV (1976-1990) and Mike V (1990-2007).
There are special sections dedicated to Mike's Student Caretakers, Tiger Traditions and Tidbits, and one that talks "All About Tigers".
The photographs included in this book reveal the history of Mike the Tiger and LSU traditions. Photographs date as far back as 1896 to the present.
Each leather bound book is numbered and signed by the author and other officials from LSU. Also included is a copy of the real Mike the Tiger's paw print. There are only 100 of these books and paw prints and is something every loyal LSU fan will love to have as part of LSU's rich history.
